A person's spirituality grows as the dependence on external sources for nutrition decreases. The physical body learns to nourish itself.
An example of
this is cerebrospinal fluid or CSF. When blood enters the brain, it flows
through the first and second ventricles of the brain, where the brain draws
cerebrospinal fluid from the blood. This is called the Vital Life Juice. Yogis
call it nectar. This sap flows into the brain and travels through the spinal
cord to the prostate gland and keeps the motor neurons active.
Every 5 hours 113.55 ml CSF is produced. That is, 545 ml of CSF is produced in 24 hours, from which 200/250 ml of sugar is produced to meet the body's needs.
This
cerebrospinal fluid never mixes with blood. Yogis are able to drink this Vital
Life Juice in a special Yogic method. This process is called the act of
drinking nectar. Drinking this nectar reduces hunger and thirst a lot. Yogis
thereby lead a healthy life by consuming little food and drink.
